We are testing a new feature that turns any public conversation on our system into a live MP3 audio feed. If you have a phone, you have an Internet radio station, great for doing live on-the-spot broadcasts.
With our MP3 telecasting service, broadcasting a live event is as simple as making a phone call. Simply:
* Connect a microphone to your phone phone, put a speakerphone on the podium, or hook a microphone up to your Gizmo equipped laptop
* Call into your Radio Handi conference room via any local access number or call yourgroup@radiohandi.com via Gizmo or another SIP compatible Internet phone
* Wait 5 to 10 seconds, and you're on the air
* Just tell your listeners to go to http://eavesdropper.radiohandi.com:8000/yourgroupnumber
This service should work with any media player that supports streaming MP3 (Quicktime, Windows Media, Real, Winamp to name a few). If you'd like to test this feature with your users, send an email to brian@radiohandi.com
UPDATE: this feature is now working with Winamp and Windows Media Player. We are experiencing some problems with Quicktime and are looking into this. It is working with most versions of iTunes.
