You can now use Radio Handi to listen to participating broadcast and Internet radio stations by phone. If you are a broadcaster, we ship you a preconfigured audio appliance that beams live audio into our network. Listeners can call in to listen to your feed by calling any of our worldwide access numbers, and then dialing your callsign.
How It Works
- We ship you a preconfigured audio encoder.
- You connect the encoder to an RCA analog or optical digital audio line, connect it to your LAN.
- It beams live audio into our network 24x7
- You tell your listeners to call any Radio Handi access number and then dial your callsign.
It's that simple, and in a few minutes, you can make your broadcast available to any telephone (fixed, mobile or VoIP) worldwide. This is a great way to make your content available to mobile listeners, people who live outside of your coverage area, or who don't have a data enabled mobile phone (this works with _any_ telephone).
The audio quality is about the same as AM radio. So while this service is not a good fit for music, it is a great fit for speech content, including news, sports and talk radio.
The encoder costs $495, and is shipped preconfigured to run out of the box. The basic service is free. Direct dial vanity telephone numbers in your country/area code are available for a flat monthly fee (email us or call extension 101 for details).
